Scorpio New Moon is Packed with Scorpio Power!

What is Scorpio Power exactly?  Scorpio is the sign that represents the nature of Power itself.  Ruled traditionally by Mars, the god of war, and in the modern scheme by Pluto, the god of death and regeneration, Scorpio has some very intense allies.  Under Scorpio’s influence, we must find the courage to face our demons from Mars, and the wisdom to face our deepest Truth from Pluto.  We must learn how to exert force to make things happen (Mars), and when to surrender to events beyond our control, our Fate if you will (Pluto).

Scorpio is all about depth, intensity, the gritty Realness of life and it’s not always pretty.

This month’s Scorpio New Moon on November 18th is particularly intense not only because four planets including the Sun and Moon are in Scorpio, but also because both of the Scorpio rulers, Mars and Pluto, are locked in an intense square aspect that can signify conflict, power issues, anger and rage.  But when Mars (the individual Will) and Pluto (the Will of the higher self) are managed consciously, this planetary combination is a supremely beneficial ally for manifesting intention and creating real magic in our lives.  In order to utilize Mars and Pluto consciously, we must be prepared to release any ideas we may have of what we think we want and need (Mars issues) and seek the guidance of the inner voice of the higher self (Pluto).  We must be ready to accept what we cannot change (our Fate = Pluto) and change what we are able to (our desires = Mars).

This intensity is softened by a lovely harmonious trine from Chiron (wounding and healing) to the New Moon which will help us to release old feelings of self-doubt and abandonment as we move forward into a newly empowered future.  The two benefits Venus and Jupiter are still in tandem in Scorpio, showering blessings of good fortune as long as we stay mindful of our own Truth and don’t become mired in illusion.

Scorpio is all about emotion – deep, dark, intense emotion.  But in this New Moon, an awkward (quincunx) aspect from Uranus to the lunation will keep us from getting too comfortable as we are pushed to create change where change is needed.  Uranus is connected with Higher Mind and is aligned with Pallas, the asteroid which signifies creative intelligence and innate wisdom –  the key to finding true integration in this Scorpio New Moon is to stay centered in your own Divine Wisdom as you allow the emotionality and feelings of the Scorpio Moon to awaken all of the lost and missing pieces of Soul that are ready to emerge.

This New Moon offers a powerful opportunity for real magic in your life.  New Moons wipe the slate clean and offer an opportunity to begin anew, so taking a few moments to create an intention for this New Moon will go a long way.

Tonight is the Full Moon in Taurus for the West Coast (10:22 pm PST) and early tomorrow morning for the Central & East Coast (1:22 am EST). Taurus is a strong and supportive sign ~ bringing in the earthy, comforting side of life. As Chani Nichols shares, the Moon loves to be in Taurus and is said to be exalted here. This is our time of darkness, inner journeys, and finding the comfort in the arms of mother earth. I find a likeness of Mother Earth to a vessel, a cauldron. She is open to holding and recycling our fears and joys and transforms them so that our life experiences can be blended and transmuted into a meaningful whole. She calls us to change as she does all things in nature.

Taurus is a feminine, fixed, earth sign, ruled by Venus. A Taurus Moon slows us down so that our roots can grow deeper under her sensual creativity. It is a time to cultivate the miracle of the Earths magic.

Connecting with Mother Earth under a Taurus Moon can help you to find a subtle clarity arising from a place of inward receptivity. This is a time for tilling ~ before planting the seed ~ be like the rivers and streams and follow the path of least resistance.

A sweet ceremony for you:

  1. Create a vessel out of something from the earth ~ clay, sticks, leaves, twigs, flower petals or even paper with herbs and spices glued on or stained onto the paper ~ be creative sisters & brothers.
  1. Do a meditation calling on Mother Earth and Grandmother Moon to bring you a word, a picture or a sound that will connect you to the clarity that is arising in you. You may want to use rosemary or peppermint oil in a diffuser or on your wrists to enhance clarity of mind. If you have any fluorite or citrine you may want to place them near you or hold them during your meditation.
  1. Here are a few questions to ask yourself:
    • What are you beginning?
    • What are you cooking?
    • What is transforming?
  1. Draw or write your answer and place it in the vessel ~ or maybe write or draw your answer on your vessel. Place anything else in your vessel that feels grounding and centering. The vessel is there for you to connect with your center ~ to receive the clarity that is arising.

Place the vessel on your altar and tomorrow once you have your Moon Water created ~ place a few drops in your vessel ~ or even do it daily until the New Moon in Scorpio.

Sun Moves Into Scorpio: October 24, 2017

This week brings some shifts in energies as the Sun moves into Scorpio, beginning the Scorpio season of darkness, myth and magic.  With the mind already processing the inner workings of the psyche now that Mercury is in Scorpio, and Jupiter’s entry into Scorpio squeezes out the nasty secrets in the entertainment business as well as the political realm (both Jupiter’s realm), we can no longer hide from the difficult and the dark.

On a positive note, challenging conversations may become easier under the influence of Scorpio, and our personal path to growth can be illuminated with the Sun aligned with expansive Jupiter.  Mars, the planet that inspires and motivates us, has moved into Libra where it yearns to find balance and integrate the confusion of opposites into one complete whole of understanding and compassion.

Over the next two weeks, you may find yourself feeling more emotionally sensitive and reactive than usual as a challenging square aspect takes shape between Saturn (tests and insecurity) and Chiron (emotional wounds).  While this can be an uncomfortable dynamic, it can also help to facilitate the processing and release of old wounds that bind us to the past.

Libra New Moon, October 20, 2017: Finding Balance in the Midst of Chaos

The New Moon is the darkest time of the lunar cycle – the time when there is no lunar light. The Sun and Moon are in exact alignment in the sky, at the same degree, and the lunar light is obscured by the Sun. For a brief moment, we are suspended in time, and life is full of unrealized potential.

New Moons are famously a time for a new beginning.  A new lunar cycle – a new way of looking at the world.  In Libra, that new beginning takes the form of a new way of seeing all of the different kinds of relationships in our world: relationships between people, polarities of ideas, the spectrum of beliefs.  Under the influence of Libra, everything is weighed against another in the attempt to find balance and perfect harmony.  Giving and receiving and the sharing of energy becomes more important, and integrating the two into a perfect flow becomes the goal.

This perfect harmony is difficult to achieve in today’s world which is full of accelerated intensity and chaos, and the achievement of equilibrium is made more difficult in this year’s Libra New Moon as a disruptive force applies pressure on both the Sun and Moon, demanding that we get out of our comfortable environments and find a new way that is more authentic and true. And yet Venus, the ruler of this New Moon, is also in the sign of Libra, reminding us that love and beauty are of paramount importance, and what will save this world and ourselves as well.

Still, there is a force of intensity and passion that continues knocking at the soul’s door, demanding to be let in. This force cares nothing for the balance and harmony that Libra seeks to teach; instead, it insists on nothing less than absolute truth.  We find ourselves stepping ever deeper into the realm of darkness, and then emerging into the light and learning to balance the two. This process may bring up old wounds and emotions as we learn to clear the psychic debris of the past and emerge into the light with greater harmony and integration.

The New Moon is a perfect time to begin something new.  It is an auspicious time for a new relationship or partnership, and a wonderful time to transform a current relationship into a more balanced connection.  This New Moon asks that we allow the dark and inconvenient truths to emerge into the light, and integrate them into an awakened consciousness, and facilitates the process of moving forward into an enlightened destiny.

Geeky details:  Jupiter is conjunct Mercury in Scorpio, Mars in Virgo is opposite Chiron, Venus is singleton in Libra.  The New Moon trines the South Node and sextiles the North.

Jupiter in Scorpio and Venus in Libra

Two planets change signs this week: Jupiter moves into Scorpio on October 10th and Libra into Venus on the 14th.  When planets change signs there is a shift of focus and a shift of energies that can help us to break out of old patterns and find new pathways to move our lives along in a new direction.

Jupiter will be in Scorpio for about a year, and you can read more about that cycle here,  In its role as King of the Gods, Jupiter brings a higher awareness to the energies of the sign through which it moves, and in Scorpio Jupiter seeks a broader awareness and higher expression of power, emotional intensity, sexuality, and shared finance such as taxes and financial markets. But Jupiter is also known for excessive confidence and complacency, such as we saw in 2005-06 when Jupiter was last in Scorpio and presided over the expansion of the housing market.  Scorpio is also associated with secrets and mysteries, and Jupiter’s travels through Scorpio often bring up new revelations from the mists of time.

While Jupiter is in Scorpio (until November 8, 2018) it will be difficult to hide from our shadow Self.  That may sound negative and it CAN be dysfunctional if we become stuck in the shadow rather than face the darkness and find our way to the light. True empowerment lies in facing our inner Truth and mining it for all of the riches that are found there.

Venus moves more quickly and changes signs every 23 days or so except during its retrograde phases. The influence of Venus is not very powerful and we tend not to notice it as much, but the transition from the modesty and concern for details of Venus in Virgo to the focus on balance and harmony of Venus in Libra on the 14th of October will tend to create more ease and flow in our relationships and in the rest of our lives as well.

The Libra influence is pronounced over the next few days since both the Sun and Mercury are in Libra, and the New Moon on October 19th is in Libra.  Under the canopy of Libra’s light, we find ourselves more sensitive to dissonance and disharmony in the world.  Diplomacy and tact, our love of beauty and attention to aesthetics – all of these things will become more important over the next week and until the completion of the New Moon.

Aries Full Moon October 5, 2017 – Tragic King

The Full Moon on 5 October 2017 falls at 12º Aries decan 2. This is only one aspect to Mercury and an adjustment quincunx to Neptune from the Sun. The Full Moon falls on the fixed star Alderamin in Cepheus the King.

This Full Moon in Aries decan 2 has no special dignity and will generally run counter to popular culture since the Moon usually rules what is popular. Full Moon in Aries 2 is a protector and warrior, rather than a conventional nurturer.

This spartan Full Moon teaches us then to be strong and independent, and we will reject people or projects that appear too ‘needy’. At this Full Moon, the family may be seen as a shackle, especially for those who like to keep active and travel light.

We may find it very hard to put down roots, as this energy makes us the proverbial rolling stones who gather no moss. The Moon in Cepheus the King.

Full Moon October Astrology

Manilus says of Cepheus; “Offspring of Cepheus will also furnish words for the buskin of tragedy [Cepheus is depicted in the garb of a tragic actor] whose pen, if only on paper, is drenched in blood; and the paper [the audience at a performance], no less will revel in the spectacle of crime and catastrophe in human affairs.”] This Moon brings popularity to writers of tragedy, horror, thrillers and murder mystery into the collective. Aries decan 2 is ruled by the Sun which means it is also the Leo decan of Aries, it will raise issues of sovereignty. Who is fit to be our leader? Someone who has the characteristics of Alderamin perhaps?

Full Moon October on Alderamin

Fixed star Alderamin is on the right shoulder of the king. Most of constellation Cepheus (The King) aligns with Aries decan 2 (Six of the fourteen stars) which suits this very regal decan just fine. Alderamin is the largest star in Cepheus but it doesn’t get a specific write up. Robson says of “Cepheus in general “It gives authority and a sober mind, sometimes making its natives judges or arbitrators, but exposes to cruel and severe trials.”

Bernadette Brady, on the other hand, writes that “Alderamin symbolizes balanced male energy, in harmony with the feminine and the earth with the context of the focus, concentrated energy of the masculine, rather than the more passive, intuitive energy of the feminine. It is the version of kingship represented in Celtic myths of the King who willingly returns his body to the soil in order to fertilize his culture. Strong, but in harmony with life. The star is associated with gentle power, focused and forceful but not aggressive” [1] We see an element of melancholy and resigned sacrifice for the good of the whole. This is not a King who is about service to his own egotistical ambitions, despite the burning solar energy of this decan as a whole.

Full Moon October Aspects

Moon opposite Mercury creates a synergy or conflict between the rational mind and gut instincts. The restlessness creates great drive and a state of flux like the tides washing in and out. This can make for a very creative, self-purifying energy with a huge need to communicate the fluctuating moods to a wider audience. Artistically this aspect shows itself as paying close attention to the small details, whether it be clothing, architecture, visual appearance or behavior. The tension of the opposition manifests as a magic wand once we have tamed the mind to work with intuition. This highly strung energy needs plugging into something creative in order to channel its nervous, restlessness.

Sun quincunx Neptune makes us prone to dissolving! So those touched by this Full Moon may have great difficulty holding onto their ego. Boundaries between ourselves and others are blurry and some are able to absorb the collective unconsciousness like a  sponge. The is a proclivity to escapism and all forms of addictions. This is because physical sensitivity to the pain in the real world is so great. Some people could suffer health problems due to their lack of ‘armour’ from external penetration, psychically or physically. Others can be too self-sacrificial, devoting themselves entirely to a person or cause.

Full Moon October 2017 – Summary

This Full Moon in Aries 2 teaches us that we get the leaders we deserve. If we are too dependent on authorities then, of course, we lay open to abuse by them. The more power we give these ‘Kings’ over our lives, the more danger there is of them abusing it. This is a spartan Full Moon which means we have to let go of our dependency on collectivism and group-think. There is a call now for individualism. Many different individual thinkers and divergent thoughts are far less easy to put into boxes and control.

The aspects of this October Full Moon are about making an adjustment and the ability to be fluid. As soon as someone thinks they have you nailed, you need to be chameleon-like and able to change your colors. Don’t make it easy for them! There is positive self-sacrifice and negative self-sacrifice. One who “willingly returns his body to the soil in order to fertilize his culture.” would be a positive way to give yourself up for the greater good. But becoming human bait for vampiric entities to manipulate their own agendas, would be a negative way.

Jupiter in Scorpio: Expansion of Truth and Mystery

Jupiter – the King of the Gods, the largest planet in our solar system.  Everything about it is bigger than life.  In our natal astrological charts, Jupiter shows where we find meaning in life, the kind of belief systems we formulate, and the pathways that will give us the abundance and opportunities to keep expanding. Known traditionally as the “greater benefit,” Jupiter’s influence is generally favorable and offers us confidence and optimism and a desire for growth and expansion.

(Astrology geeks: details of planetary movements can be found at the bottom of the page)  Jupiter also represents the search for truth – our own personal truth.  The truth that makes sense to us, our theology, and when we find others that share that truth, our religion.  Our philosophy of life.  In the process of finding this truth we seek to expand the limits of our knowledge through higher education, the discovery of other cultures and foreign countries, and the higher knowledge that expands our inner consciousness.

The astrological sign of Scorpio represents Truth with a capital “T” – the Truth that is gritty and real and supersedes our own ideas of what is true.  Jupiter stays in a sign for about a year and has been in the sign of Libra since the fall of 2016 where it expanded cultural ideas of beauty and relationships.  Jupiter will enter the deep water sign of Scorpio on October 10th 2017 and will remain there through November 8th, 2018.

Scorpio is also associated with sexuality, emotional intensity, passions of all kinds, as well as the energetic undercurrents that reveal the secrets behind the areas of our lives that we usually keep hidden.  Brutal honesty and direct confrontation are highlighted when dealing with the Scorpio influence – anything superficial or artificial is quickly penetrated with the Scorpionic laser eye for the Truth.

While Jupiter passes through Scorpio, our attention will be drawn into the mysteries of the unknown, the realm of Scorpio, as Jupiter inspires us to expand our knowledge (Jupiter) of the secrets that lead us towards the ultimate Truth.  Psychological discoveries, occult secrets, ancient mysteries and lost civilizations, issues of sex and death – all of these things will emerge into the light of day to encourage greater understanding.

While Jupiter is in Scorpio it will harmonize with its natural ally Neptune, facilitating the flow of consciousness expansion and increased awareness, and with Pluto, Scorpio’s modern ruler.  Pluto helps to guide us into the Underworld where the great treasures can be found – not only the treasures of the psyche and the magic of the great philosophical mysteries but also the very keys to unlocking the mystery of Self-Knowledge.  These influences will be especially strong in April-May 2018 and August-September 2018.

How to get the most out of the passage of Jupiter through Scorpio:

  • The gates to the underworld of the psyche are easier to access when Jupiter moves through Scorpio, making this the perfect time for psychotherapy or deep soul work.
  • Superficial relationships will be challenged and may fall away under this influence which requires nothing less than Truth in all things.
  • Recording your dreams and inner thoughts in a journal or some other form of record will help you to access the deep subconscious to facilitate greater awareness.
  • As your inner power is activated you will become aware of fears and anxieties that will need to be healed before you are able to fully emerge in your own Truth.

Geeky astrological details: Jupiter will trine Neptune on December 2, 2017, May 25, 2018, and August 8, 2018, and will sextile Pluto on January 1, 2018, April 2018 and September 2018.   Thanks to Martin Bulgerin for his helpful Big Aspects site.

September Full Moon

The September full moon, known as the “Corn Moon”, always shines in or near the stars of Aquarius and Pisces. Because the moon appears full only when opposite the sun, full moons always rise around sunset and set around sunrise.

The Season is Changing

There’s a lot of unusual stuff going on around tonight’s full moon. First, it will rise to appear situated in the constellation of Aquarius. Second, and it will find its trajectory passing near Neptune as the blue planet will have been sitting in opposition on Tuesday evening; the point at which the planet will have appeared brightest in our sky.

To see the full moon and Neptune at the same time, you’ll need to have a telescope, or at least binoculars, because far-away Neptune isn’t visible to the naked eye. According to, the moon and Neptune will pass within 0.73 degrees of each other around 1 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday, with Neptune hanging out just to the northwest of the moon.

The moon will be officially full at 3 a.m. Eastern Wednesday, so plan to stay up late tonight.

Traditionally, September’s full moon is always called the Harvest Moon, but not this time around. Since the Harvest Moon is always the full moon that arrives closest to the fall equinox (September 22), the full moon on October 5 will get the iconic title. September’s full moon, instead, has been deemed the Corn Moon. It’s been the go-to name for the full moon when it falls far enough away from the fall equinox, as First Nations tribes always gave the moon names that reflected aspects of the season.

As the Corn Moon, or alternately the Barley Moon, early September’s moon name reflects the crops that were ready for harvest around this time. It’s also known as the Falling Leaves Moon and the Nut Moon.

The equinoxes occur twice a year when the tilt of the Earth’s axis is inclined neither away from nor towards the Sun, the Sun being vertically above a point on the Equator. The term equinox can also be used in a broader sense, meaning the date when such a passage happens. The name “equinox” is derived from the Latin aqueous (equal) and Nox (night), because around the equinox, the night and day are approximately equally long. At an equinox, the Sun is at one of two opposite points on the celestial sphere where the celestial equator (i.e. declination 0) and ecliptic intersect. These points of intersection are called equinoctial points: the vernal point and the autumnal point. An equinox happens each year at two specific moments in time (rather than two whole days), when there is a location on the Earth’s Equator where the centre of the Sun can be observed to be vertically overhead, occurring around March 20/21 and September 22/23 each year.

  • Autumnal equinox: this classical name is a direct derivative of Latin (autumnus = autumn).
  • September equinox: a usage becoming the preferred standard by technical writers choosing to avoid Northern Hemisphere bias (implied by assuming that March is in the springtime and September is autumnal—true for those in the Northern Hemisphere but exactly opposite in the Southern Hemisphere).
  • Northward equinox and southward equinox: names referring to the apparent motion of the Sun at the times of the equinox.
  • Vernal point and autumnal point are the points on the celestial sphere where the Sun is located on the vernal equinox and autumnal equinox respectively (again, the seasonal attribution is that of the Northern Hemisphere).
  • First point (or cusp) of Aries and first point of Libra are names used by navigators and astrologers. Navigational ephemeris tables record the geographic position of the First Point of Aries as the reference for the position of navigational stars. Due to the precession of the equinoxes, the astrological signs where these equinoxes are located no longer correspond with the actual constellations once ascribed to them.

Length of Equinoctial Day and Night

On a day of the equinox, the centre of the Sun spends a roughly equal amount of time above and below the horizon at every location on the Earth, night and day being of roughly the same length. The word equinox derives from the Latin words aqueous (equal) and Nox (night); in reality, the day is longer than the night at an equinox. Commonly, the day is defined as the period when sunlight reaches the ground in the absence of local obstacles. From the Earth, the Sun appears as a disc rather than a single point of light, so when the centre of the Sun is below the horizon, its upper edge is visible. Furthermore, the atmosphere refracts light, so even when the upper limb of the Sun is below the horizon, its rays reach over the horizon to the ground. These cumulative effects make the day about 14 minutes longer than the night at the Equator and longer still towards the Poles. The real equality of day and night only happens in places far enough from the equator to have a seasonal difference in day length of at least 7 minutes, actually occurring a few days towards the winter side of each equinox. The date at which the time between sunset and sunrise crosses 12 hours, is known as the equinox. Because sunset and sunrise times vary with an observer’s geographic location (longitude and latitude), the equinox likewise depends on location and does not exist for locations sufficiently close to the equator. The equinox, however, is a precise moment in time which is common to all observers on Earth.

Heliocentric view of the seasons

The Earth’s seasons are caused by the rotation axis of the Earth not being perpendicular to its orbital plane. The Earth’s axis is tilted at an angle of approximately 23.44° from the orbital plane; this tilt is called the axial tilt. As a consequence, for half of the year (i.e. from around March 20 to around September 22), the northern hemisphere tips toward the Sun, with the maximum around June 21, while for the other half of the year, the southern hemisphere has this honour, with the maximum around December 21. The two instants when the Sun is directly overhead at the Equator are the equinoxes. Also at that moment, both the North and South Poles of the Earth are just on the terminator and day and night are divided equally between the hemispheres. A few remarks can be made about the equinoxes:

  • Because the Sun is a spherical (rather than a single-point) source of light, the actual crossing of the Sun over the Equator takes approximately 33 hours.
  • At the equinoxes, the rate of change for the length of daylight and night-time is the greatest. At the Poles, the equinox marks the start of the transition from 24 hours of nighttime to 24 hours of daylight. High in the Arctic Circle, Longyearbyen, Svalbard, Norway has an additional 15 minutes more daylight every day around the time of the Spring equinox, whereas in Singapore (which is virtually on the Equator), the amount of daylight each day varies by just seconds.
  • It is 94 days from the June solstice to the September equinox, but only 89 days from the December Solstice to the March equinox. The seasons are not of equal length, because of the variable speed of the Earth in its orbit around the Sun.
  • The instances of the equinoxes are not fixed, but fall about six hours later every year, amounting to one full day in four years. They are reset by the occurrence of a leap year. The Gregorian calendar is designed to follow the seasons as accurately as is practical, which is good, but not absolutely perfect.
  • Smaller irregularities in the times are caused by perturbations of the Moon and the other planets.
  • Currently, the most common equinox and solstice dates are March 20, June 21, September 22 and December 21; the four-year average will slowly shift to earlier times in coming years. This shift is a full day in about 70 years (compensated mainly by the century “leap year” rules of the Gregorian calendar). This also means that in many years of the twentieth century, the dates of March 21, June 22, September 23 and December 22 were much more common, so older books teach (and older people may still remember) these dates.
  • Note that the times are given in UTC (roughly speaking, the time at Greenwich, ignoring British Summer Time). People living farther to the east (Asia and Australia), whose local times are in advance, will see the seasons apparently start later; for example, in Tonga (UTC+13), an equinox occurred on September 24, 1999, a date which will not crop up again until 2103. On the other hand, people living far to the west (America) whose clocks run behind UTC may experience an equinox as early as March 19.

Geocentric view of the seasons

In the half year centred on the June solstice, the Sun rises and sets towards the north, which means longer days with shorter nights for the Northern Hemisphere and shorter days with longer nights for the Southern Hemisphere. In the half year centred on the December solstice, the Sun rises and sets towards the south and the durations of day and night are reversed. Also on the day of an equinox, the Sun rises everywhere on Earth (except the Poles) at 06:00 in the morning and sets at 18:00 in the evening (local time). These times are not exact for several reasons, one being that the Sun is much larger in diameter than the Earth that more than half of the Earth could be in sunlight at any one time (due to unparallel rays creating tangent points beyond an equal-day-night line); other reasons are as follows:

  • Most places on Earth use a time zone which is unequal to the local time, differing by up to an hour or even two hours, if daylight saving time (summer time) is included. In that case, the Sun could rise at 08:00 and set at 20:00, but there would still be 12 hours of daylight.
  • Even those people fortunate enough to have their time zone equal to the local time will not see sunrise and sunset at 06:00 and 18:00 respectively. This is due to the variable speed of the Earth in its orbit and is described as the equation of time. It has different values for the March and September equinoxes (+8 and −8 minutes respectively).
  • Sunrise and sunset are commonly defined for the upper limb of the solar disk, rather than its centre. The upper limb is already up for at least one minute before the centre appears, and likewise, the upper limb sets one minute later than the centre of the solar disk. Due to atmospheric refraction, the Sun, when near the horizon, appears a little more than its own diameter above the position than where it is in reality. This makes sunrise more than another two minutes earlier and sunset the equal amount later. These two effects add up to almost seven minutes, making the equinox day 12hrs 7min long and the night only 11hrs 53min. In addition to that, the night includes twilight. When dawn and dusk are added to the daytime instead, the day would be almost 13 hours.
  • The above numbers are only true for the tropics. For moderate latitudes, this discrepancy increases (for example, 12 minutes in London) and closer to the Poles it gets very large. Up to about 100 km from both Poles, the Sun is up for a full 24 hours on an equinox day.
  • The height of the horizon on both the sunrise and sunset sides changes the day’s length. Going up into the mountains will lengthen the day while standing in a valley with hilltops on the east and the west can shorten the day significantly. This is why settlements in east-west running valleys are more favourable (daylight-wise) than north-south running valleys.

Cultural Aspects of the Equinox

  • The September equinox marks the first day of Mehr or Libra in the Persian calendar. It is one of the Iranian festivals called Jashne Mihragan, or the festival of sharing or love in Zoroastrianism.
  • The Mid-Autumn Festival is celebrated on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month, often times near the autumnal equinox day, and is an official holiday in China and in many countries with a significant Chinese minority. As the lunar calendar is not synchronous with the Gregorian calendar, this date could be anywhere from mid-September to early October.
  • The traditional harvest festival in the United Kingdom was celebrated on the Sunday of the full moon closest to the September equinox

Modern Innovations

  • The September equinox was “New Year’s Day” in the French Republican Calendar, which was in use from 1793 to 1805. The French First Republic was proclaimed and the French monarchy was abolished on September 21, 1792, making the following day (the equinox day that year) the first day of the “Republican Era” in France. The start of every year was to be determined by astronomical calculation, (that is: following the real Sun and not the mean Sun as all other calendars).
  • World Storytelling Day is a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling, celebrated every year on the spring equinox in the northern hemisphere, the first day of autumn equinox in the southern.
  • Wiccans and many other Neopagans hold religious celebrations of “Mabon” on the autumnal equinox.

Myths, Fables and Facts

  • One effect of equinoctial periods is the temporary disruption of communications satellites. For all geostationary satellites, there are a few days near the equinox when the sun goes directly behind the satellite relative to Earth (i.e. within the beamwidth of the ground-station antenna) for a short period each day. The Sun’s immense power and broad radiation spectrum overload the Earth station’s reception circuits with noise and, depending on antenna size and other factors, temporarily disrupt or degrade the circuit. The duration of those effects varies but can range from a few minutes to an hour. (For a given frequency band, a larger antenna has a narrower beamwidth, hence experiences shorter duration “Sun outage” windows).
  • Although the word equinox is often understood to mean “equal [day and] night,” as is noted elsewhere, this is not strictly true. For most locations on earth, there are two distinct identifiable days per year when the length of day and night are closest to being equal; those days are commonly referred to as the “equinoxes” to distinguish them from the equinoxes. Equinoxes are points in time, but equinoxes are days. By convention, esquilaxes are the days where sunrise and sunset are closest to being exactly 12 hours apart. This way, you can refer to a single date as being the Equiluz, when in reality, it spans from sunset on one day to sunset the next, or sunrise on one to sunrise the next.
  • What is true about the equinoxes is that two observers at the same distance north and south of the equator will experience nights of equal length.
  • The Equiluz counts times when some direct sunlight could be visible, rather than all hours of usable daylight (which is any time when there is enough natural light to do outdoor activities without needing artificial light). This is due to twilight; a particular type of twilight which is officially defined as civil twilight. This amount of twilight can result in more than 12 hours of usable daylight up to a few weeks before the spring equinox, and up to a few weeks after the fall equinox.
  • In a contrary vein, the daylight which is useful for illuminating houses and buildings during the daytime and is needed to produce the full psychological benefit of daylight is shorter than the nominal time between sunrise and sunset. So in that sense, “useful” daylight is present for 12 hours only after the vernal equinox and before the autumnal equinox, because of the intensity of light near sunrise and sunset, even with the sun slightly above the horizon, is considerably less than when the sun is high in the sky.

September 4th ~ 10th Astrology Weekly Forecast

Monday, September 4th-
At 2:29 am Ceres in cancer quincunxes mean black moon Lilith in Sagittarius, creating tension between the Great Mother asteroid Goddess and the fierce Dark Feminine who reveals shadow and see what is behind the scenes. Ceres is currently undergoing some massively intense transits- which is quite apparent when you look at Mother Earth right now and see the insane fires {Oregon/Montana in the USA) and floods (Hurricane Harvey/Texas/approaching Hurricane Irma/Bangladesh India) happening on the planet. on the day of the total solar eclipse ceres opposed Pluto (read that week’s entry for the in-depth write up) and since then she has been getting hit hard by outer planets (quincunx Saturn 8/31, square Jupiter 9/3, Uranus square on 9/17 and Eris square this week 9/6). so much intensity with the Great Mother really brings up stuff in home/family dynamics, safety/security issues, environmental issues (like climate change) and more! where Ceres in cancer want to be cozy and safe- all this astrology speaks to boats being rocked and apple carts being turned upside down. the key in these transits is to be willing to see the shadow playing out behind the scenes- to not just don rose colored glasses or stuff our heads in the sand. ceres/Lilith can help us see into the shadows IF we are not overly attached to being blind, change is incoming- it’s up to us to work with the energies so we can make wise decisions about what direction we are moving into personally, collectively and as a human.

At 11:26 am Jupiter in Libra sextile mean black moon Lilith in Sagittarius, aligning the planet of expansion and abundance with the Dark Goddess who is in the Jupiter-ruled sign of Truth and Big Picture awareness. Jupiter/lilith is great for seeing what is hidden in the shadows- not from a shadow place of only seeing what is wrong but from an integral place of understanding that wholeness and healing can only happen when we are seeing the WHOLE picture. lilith in sadge is seeking to help us see all aspects of Truth so that we not divided in our understanding (which creates projections onto others of our disowned shadow). Jupiter/Lilith is great for trusting our intuition, dreams and magic. finding ways to dive deep while still staying connected to the Light is supported right now.

The sun in Virgo opposes retrograde Neptune in Pisces at 10:27 pm, bringing an idealistic and romantic energy into focus but also tendencies towards denial, delusion, avoidance of reality and deception. the sun in Virgo wants to discern and see clearly while Neptune creates a fog and makes it hard to see reality. use this astrology to turn within, mediate, reflect and dream. it’s not a time to make huge life altering decisions though- really all month as there are tons of Neptune oppositions this month- as not all is clear and some of it may intentionally be deceptive and behind the scenes. being willing to see where we purposely are not seeing clearly or are not being clear and honest with ourselves or others is key- but so is being willing to see where others or situations around us are not being direct and clear either.

Tuesday, September 5th-
At 1:39 am Venus in leo sesquiquadrates rétrograde chiron in pisces, creating tension between the Goddess of Love and beauty and the Wounded Healer planetoid. venus/chiron brings up old wounds and pain around worth, value and self-Love. opportunities to be more aware of where old wounds and pain are running us can help us to make better choices going forward. or we can just be in denial, delusion and avoidance of reality- spiritual bypassing what is staring us in the face and missing the opportunity to grow and open our hearts more. what will you choose?

Mars moves out of Leo and into Virgo at 2:35am, shifting the warrior and drive from fire to earth, yang to yin, expressive to contained. mars in virgo is great for getting organized, efficient, healthy and integrated. Mars in Virgo is practical, logical and efficient! of course the shadow of Mars in Virgo can express as perfectionist, critical, judgmental and too much mental energy- so finding balance is key.

At 4;25 am the sun in Virgo sesquiquadrates retrograde Uranus in Aries, creating minor tension between the conscious self and ego and the rebel, revolutionary and upstart! the sun in Virgo likes things to be organized and manageable- while Uranus likes to turn things upside down and shake us up to wake us up! using the energy of change wisely- so that we are creating it rather than being dragged kicking and screaming by it is recommend right now.

At 4:29 am Mercury stations direct at 28’25 Leo, bringing the planet of thinking and perception into strong focus. when Mercury is stationary his snafu energies are strongest- so be aware when you communicate, travel and move around in life as unexpected energies can be present. Mercury’s recent Underworld journey has been a time of rethinking, reviewing and revising what we Love and what is our hearts desire (Leo) and also what our inner work, health and outer work are asking of us (virgo). with mercury stationary today on the eclipse degree and just past his conjunction with mars- there is A LOT of energy generated right now to be definitive and take action. the key is doing it in a way that is clearly seeing the whole picture. there is a lot of neptune energy coming this month (so many planetary oppositions)- which makes it hard to discern Truth and reality clearly. our willingness to ask questions and listen to the answers- even if they are the answers we don’t want to hear- is key right now.

At 7:05am Ceres in Cancer quincunxes the mean south node in Aquarius- creating tension between the Great Mother asteroid Goddess and our old karmic patterns of detachment from the heart and overly relying on the head and scientific intelligence. Ceres is harmoniously aligned with the north node in Leo- the sign of the heart! we need to feel engaged with life- not detached from it. we need to see what is going on around us not just from a place of rationality and pragmatism but from a deeply feeling place that understands we are all in this together and what happens to one person/culture/country happens to all. any issues arising in home/family situations or regarding Mother Earth right now are wake up calls.

At 2:33pm Venus in Leo quincunxes retrograde neptune in pisces, creating tension between the lower heart and the Higher Heart. Venus/Neptune can be uber romantic, idealistic and compassionate but can also create issues with boundaries, seeing reality and making healthy decisions in Love and money situations. Venus in Leo wants passion and romance! while Neptune in Pisces surrenders the ego and moves towards Higher Love. what does Higher Love mean? contemplating this and not making it about anything or anyone external can be a deep inquiry today. (hint: Higher Love for the self from the Self)

Wednesday, September 6th-
The full moon at 13’55 Pisces is exact at 12:03 am, bringing us to the midway point of the current lunar cycle we are in that began with the total solar eclipse in Leo on 8/21! that was one HUGE eclipse- making this entire lunation one for the books. with this full moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune in Pisces- all Piscean themes are amplified tenfold! dreaminess, romance, idealism, compassion, mysticism, and spirituality are high. but so, too, is an illusion, confusion, delusion, deception, spiritual bypassing, and playing the victim or the martyr. this full moon is quincunx Venus- activating the venus/Neptune aspect that was exact yesterday and bringing that into strong focus during this lunation. are we seeing clearly in Love or money situations? are we finding a balance between self-love and love of others, boundaries and dissolution of boundaries, the lower ego based heart and the Higher Heart? learning how to have a healthy ego as the container for Spirit and Soul is true enlightenment. being willing to see through our own self-illusions, delusions and deceptions are key right now.

Jupiter in Libra sextiles the north node in Leo at 8:46 am, aligning the planet of expansion and abundance with the north node of destiny and fate! Jupiter is also conjunct Arcturus- a powerful fixed star that amplifies the gifts and frequency emanating from Jupiter right now. opportunities to grow and expand ourselves via our relationships, connections and collaborations with others is incoming. new people, groups, communities or teachers coming into your life right now can be REALLY GOOD FOR YOU. stay open!

At 6:17 pm Ceres in Cancer squares retrograde Eris in Aries, creating tension between the Great Mother asteroid Goddess and the Goddess of discord and chaos. Ceres in Cancer hold onto the past while Eris in Aries turns the apple cart upside down to show what is toxic/stagnant/stuck underneath. from now until the 17th ceres triggers Uranus and Eris- bringing some wake-up/shake up energy into home family situations, environmental situations and perhaps safety/security issues personally and collectively. being willing to see the shadow hiding behind the scenes is key. don’t just stay on the surface- dive deep!

Thursday, September 7th-
The north node in Leo trine means black moon Lilith in Sagittarius at 6:08 am, aligning the node of fate and destiny with the Dark Goddess of magic, intuition, and sensuality. opportunities to embrace more of our passions and heart’s desires are present right now. seeing Truth is what sets us free- both within and without. being willing to dive deep and face shadows so they can be integrated into the Light is supported right now.

Friday, September 8th-
at 4:28 am mars in Virgo sesquiquadrates retrograde Pluto in Capricorn, creating tension between the lower will and the Higher Will. this can be a powerhouse aspect and how we wield our ego and anger energies is key in how it will unfold. luckily they are both in compatible signs- so if we access Virgo’s discernment and integrity with Capricorns commitment, discipline, and hard work- we can move mountains right now! watch out for power struggles and being overly perfectionist and critical of self and others. use this energy instead to get super clear your inner work and then get to it!

At 10:26 am the sun in virgo semisextiles venus in leo, aligning the conscious self and ego with the Goddess of Love and beauty. sun/venus can be lovely for romance, creativity and enjoyment of life. with the sun in practical virgo and venus in passionate leo- channeling our passionate, romantic and creative energies into healthy containers is recommended 🙂 have some fun today but don’t forget to get your work done too (how very Virgo/Leo)

Saturday, September 9th-
Venus in Leo quincunxes retrograde plutos in Capricorn at 12:23 am, creating tension between the Goddess of Love and beauty and the Lord of the Underworld. venus/Pluto can bring up shadow dynamics in romance, financial situations, and business partnerships. power struggles or hidden shadow coming to Light are possible- but this can also help us see things clearly and face reality. venus in Leo wants passion and prosperity while Pluto in Capricorn demands we see what old, toxic, stagnant or stuck situations, relationships or beliefs we are holding onto that limit us. steer clear of power/over power/under dynamics and instead stand in your power and meet others from that place today!

The sun in Virgo trine retrograde Pluto in Capricorn at 3:45 am, aligning the conscious self and ego with the Lord of the Underworld. this is a great aspect for diving deep and getting to the root and Truth of matters. both Virgo and Capricorn have discernment and integrity- and when we focus this clarified vision within we can see all manner of things right now! wielding power with humility and commitment to Truth is supported today!

At 11:03 am Jupiter in Libra opposes retrograde is Eris Aries for the 3rd and final time- creating an opposition between the planet of expansion and excess and the Goddess of discord and chaos. this month Jupiter opposes the waning Uranus/Eris conjunction all month long. radical revolutionary change is happening right now- just look around you! yet some of it can come by way of shocking and unexpected events that really truly show you what is going behind the screen or what was shoved underneath the carpet. Jupiter’s energy is typically benevolent so we can use this expansive energy to expand our desire to grow even if it means breaking the chains that bind! having healthy outlets for anger and rage is important right now as is in Aries can unearth repressed anger and rage in intense ways.

Now direct Mercury moves back into Virgo at 7:52 pm, covering territory he has gone over twice already for one last time. from now until 9/19 Mercury is in his backend shadow- asking us to take the insights, information and aha moments that we had in the last weeks and integrate them so we can see and discern reality clearly. of course with so much Neptune present this month not all is clear and we have to be willing to ask the right questions to get the right answers. Mercury in Virgo is great for details and discernment- but one of the best ways of using this energy is to focus it within so that we seeing ourselves, our intentions and motivations clearly. from this inner clear place, any outer decisions or actions we need to take will start to become clear.

Sunday, September 10th-
in the morning hours both Venus and Mars- the Divine Lovers- link with Juno the asteroid Goddess of partnership and marriage. at 4:32 am Venus in Leo sesquiquadrates Juno in Capricorn and at 10:37 am Mars in Virgo trine Juno in Capricorn- bringing focus to commitments, contractual arrangements and other partnerships in our lives (romantic, business and otherwise). Mars/Juno is lovely and can help us see clearly what we are committed to and what is working- and what we are no longer committed to and what is not working. yet the tense aspect from Venus reminds us that we cannot just be focused on commitment and contracts- we have to be focused on passion, creativity, and inner fire. learning how to honor differing needs- within ourselves but also within the context of our relationships- is key.

At 7:04 pm Mercury parallels Mars, echoing the mercury/mars aspect that was exact last Sunday the 3rd. from then till today we have had a super aspect between the two- amplifying but also exacerbating their energies together! mercury/mars align the mind and intellect with the warrior and drive. this super aspect can be intense and it can also be activating and initiative. Mars can help us be decisive and directed in our thinking and communicating- but he can also exacerbate tendencies to argue, be aggressive and dominating in communication with others. Mercury and Mars triggered the total solar eclipse degree on the 3rd and the super aspect has unfolded from then until today. pay attention to what you hear within, around you and in the news in the last week. big things are stirring- can you feel it?

Predictions for Monday, 21 August 2017 – Solar Eclipse

General Astrological Predictions: At 18:31UT the Moon conjuncts the Sun causing the New Moon and a Solar Eclipse in Leo. Actually, almost two hours after the eclipse, the Moon will enter Virgo. The energies of the eclipse have started raising just after the Lunar Eclipse and will be active until the next Full Moon on the 6th of September. But, of course, they will be most powerful during the day of the Eclipse. For Australia and most of Asia this will be the 22nd of August, but for the rest of the world, it will be on the 21st.

As we’ve already seen, just to make things more… interesting, most of the planets are retrograde and this will be the case until the 26th when Saturn will turn in direct motion, but the balance won’t shift until the New Moon, the eve of which Mercury will also turn in direct motion.

From the 28th degree of Leo, the Solar Eclipse conjuncts with “Al Jabhah” of Leo’s constellation. A fixed star of mixed nature, giving riches but can also bring out violence. War can break out shaking human kind. The Animal Kingdom will perceive this Eclipse like the End is coming.

The whole scenery is not so favorable as the delays and obstacles created by the retrograde planets face the emergencies created by the Eclipse. The incompatibility of the energies the skies create is too great to easily deal with. But, thankfully there is some good news too. Mars hexagon with Jupiter is still strong. Mars is also forming a triangle with Saturn. Saturn’s hexagon with Jupiter is weak but still active. Sun triangles Uranus (and so does the Moon on the day of the Eclipse, but the Moon’s aspect last for hours, while the Sun aspect for days). Unfortunately Venus stresses both Uranus and Jupiter a little with weak squares, so Jupiter’s and Uranus’ beneficial energies are not very pure, but still, we’ll have some support.

The luckiest signs will most likely be Aries, Gemini, and Virgo.

The ones who will suffer the most are probably Leo, Sagittarius, and Capricorn.

Astrological Predictions for Aries:

A mostly easy eclipse for you this will be. You may have to deal with some financial problems and changes in your income. Some needs may also occur demanding to spend some money you’d rather not. Even more so as some of the theses money may be for health issues. In most cases, these issues are nothing major, just a sign of unbalanced diet or lifestyle.

For younger Arieses (kids and teens) the eclipse may be a little more dramatic. Too many things and changes to deal with. Some of them internal, some external. Aries parents and parents having children born in the sign of Aries should be expecting such things.

Astrological Predictions for Taurus:

Most problems caused by the eclipse are around home and family. Both these may cause you a lot of stress and, most probably, expenses. In some cases “home” can be the area you live in, and not just the actual apartment or house. Your love life also goes a little crazy, for good or evil., but in no way easy. The happily married ones (even if the marriage is not formal) could be the only exception, receiving only beneficial influences in it. This, of course, depends on the spouse’s zodiac sign as well.

This eclipse will be easier than the previous one, but I wouldn’t go as far as to call it easy. And your being tired after dealing with the previous one, doesn’t help a bit. In any case, avoid major expenses if you can, money deals, and also hasty decisions regarding a new lover or a returning one.

Astrological Predictions for Gemini:

You are probably one of the luckiest sign of this eclipse. At the very least things go easy on you. In some cases, even major good things may happen. Vehicles, phones, and other communication means may have some problems. Other than that, the eclipse doesn’t seem to influence you directly anyhow, so you will enjoy the good luck and progress – slow as it may be – of the other astrological aspects we mentioned in the general section.

On the other hand, the world around you – family, friends, neighbors, towns, etc. – have their problems and may cause you slight inconvenience or challenge your patience.

Astrological Predictions for Cancer:

Your financials were affected during the previous eclipse mostly through the important people of your life and most probably your spouse or lover. During this one, they will be affected directly. A change in your job or salary, a need to spend more money than you are willing, or other things like those may happen. In most cases, avoiding the panic and rearranging your priorities is enough to go through the crises. But, I said “a change”. It’s not necessarily a negative one. It can be a beneficial one. Still, there will be some stress about it.

You need to take care of your means of communication and transportation too. Siblings, cousins, or people, you consider as such may give you some frustration.

Astrological Predictions for Leo:

You should be extra careful during this eclipse. Your psychology is very much affected and your inner critic awakens and yells. Your past mistakes and whatever you think wrong on you and the like, are constantly in your thoughts. Experiences to support the foul mood also happen. You are forced to re-evaluate and change yourself. In the best-case, you’ve initiated this procedure yourself, and thus, it goes more smoothly and pleasantly. Body’s health also can be affected, even more so if you had a “wild” previous period.

Your financials will also be affected somehow. This probably doesn’t mean extensive expenses though. Opportunities, things that look as opportunities, and in some cases a threat of a financial disaster are the more likely possibilities. Don’t panic, and don’t run into action. Keep your calm, investigate, plan, and act after the 5th of September.

Astrological Predictions for Virgo:

I consider those born under the sign of Virgo to be lucky with this eclipse. Some of you might not even feel it, and just see in your life the formation of a steady growth in your financials. In some cases, steady won’t mean slow at all. Those of you who were born the first few days of the sign – not even the whole first decan – may have to deal with some extra stress, but no more than that.

If you are engaged in spiritual activities or studies, then you will probably face some … commotion there. A change in your beliefs or practices, a change in your school or teachers and things like those are possible. Once again though, this would be for the best, so other than the extra stress it may create for the moment, there is nothing to worry about even there.

Astrological Predictions for Libra:

Although this eclipse is rather unlikely to create a serious damage in your lives, it won’t be any easy on you. Your relationships with your friends are the main focus. All sort of problems can occur, and old and buried problems may resurface. This will eventually heal the well founded friendships but can destroy the rest. Or at the very least make them more distant. If you have kids, they may experience similar situations. The same – and more probable – if they are of the sign of Libra. Marriage also may have some problems or even more than some. And once again, the same goes for your kids, if they are old enough.

Other than that, computers and the like, as well as your internet activity, need some extra attention. Damages, viruses, errors, misplaced posts and everything of the kind can happen. Be extra cautious. Backup your important data.

Astrological Predictions for Scorpio:

This eclipse will be mostly focused on your job and career. Changes can happen there. Great ones as well. In some cases, these changes will be good ones, in some cases bad ones. In both cases unsettling ones. Your way of living is changing because of this changes. Your bosses, supervisors and whoever has power over your career may have to deal with problems, and this reflects on your career. Also, a change of a supervisor is possible.

Other than that, your electronic equipment and your internet activity need some extra attention. Your friendships also need your attention this period, but in most cases not because of problems raising in them, but because of problems in your friend’s lives.

Astrological Predictions for Sagittarius:

Travelling, and especially long distance traveling is never advised during the eclipse, and in your case even more so, as the eclipse affects directly this aspect of your life. The worst thing is that as the energies are focused there, you may wish to travel or forced to travel. Try to schedule your actual journey as far as possible from the eclipse, if you can’t avoid it for the whole period of it. Be extra careful when driving and be prepared for every possible problem during your journeys.

Your philosophy is challenged too. You may be forced to change the way you see things and life. Are you a student? Then this aspect may materialize in a more mundane way by a change of the subject of study, the school, the schedule or something of the kind. The Same thing can happen for that self-studying on their interests.

Astrological Predictions for Capricorn:

Financials are affected directly and indirectly. Mostly in a difficult way. The indirect way will be through financial changes in the lives of your loved ones. Lover or spouse most likely. Some changes will happen in the work area, especially if you run your own company. Relations with your partners, important co-workers or important clients can be problematic during this period. Don’t make haste into a correcting action. Think twice before you act. Spiritual and no spiritual studies are affected too. Changes of all kinds can happen in this area. Some by choice, some by force.

Since before the previous eclipse, I keep talking about interactions with the other planes and especially the plane of the dead and dying. This aspect has calmed down for most of the zodiacs, but for you is revitalised by this eclipse. Expect such kind of interactions and experiences. Just to make things clear, I don’t mean you are going to die, of course.

Astrological Predictions for Aquarius:

Marriages or love affairs are tested by this eclipse. Heavily in some cases. All problems come in light and create a great deal of tension. Even more so because your spouse or lover has to deal with their own problems too. They can be of financial or other nature. I’d advise you to be as calm and as patient, as you can be. Harsh words are easy to be said, but not as easy to be forgotten.

As said for Capricorns, for you too this eclipse brings you closer to the other planes and especially the plain of death. This can happen willingly, unwillingly, through experiences or through thoughts and dreams. Whatever the case, savour the occurrence and be grateful for your existence.

Astrological Predictions for Pisces:

Health and work are mostly affected by this eclipse. Health not so heavily. There may be some problems, and maybe the fear of some serious problems, but in most cases nothing serious in fact. If you can reschedule operations and check-ups for after the 5th of September, do so. In most cases, keep in mind that things look more serious than they are, and take a second opinion or check after the 5th of September. Even better, after 20th of September, the next New Moon.

Job changes can be minor or greater ones. They seem important to you. They can also be positive or negative. The skies promise a positive outcome in the long run but don’t really determine how it will feel right now. Similar situations may happen for your kids.

Finally, some extra attention is needed in your love life, if you have a love or a spouse. Problems can appear or surface there, and possible break ups can also take place in relationships without strong foundations.

Astrology and Magic:

As we said, on the day of an Eclipse energies are very strong and not easily manageable. This eclipse is not very gentle, so if you want to work your magic, go with gentle methods.
